Who Are We?

Our Redeemer Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of the congregation of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. It was opened in the Fall of 2005 to serve children and families in the Pine City Community and Surrounding Areas.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment promoting individuality, uniqueness, and decision making. We recognize the child’s parent as their first teacher, and Jesus Christ as savior and teacher to all.

Entrance Requirements

Children must be 3 years of age by December 1^st

Immunizations up-to-date and on file by the first day of school

Toilet Trained

What We Do At Preschool

Our Preschool Program is Built Around the Following:

Self Confidence Building: through individual activities, choice times, and self-help skill building

Christian Concepts: through stories, music, prayers, monthly theme4s, and regular Children’s Worship

Basic Skills: recognition of number, letter, shapes sizes and colors through art, puzzles, blocks, science, and other hand-on activities

Early Literacy Skills: through creative movement to music and throught indoor and outdoor activities

Small Motor Skills: through manipulative toys, games, and craft projects.

Class Descriptions

Preschool Exploration

T-Th 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Designed for children ages 3-4 as their first preschool experience. Children will learn how to relate to each other and their teacher as they learn how to be a part of a group setting. Academics will be introduced as the year goes on in a relaxed, hands-on manner. Learning through play will be emphasized throughout the year.

Kindergarten Readiness

M-W-F 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m

Or 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Designed for children ages 4-5 who are eligible to be entering Kindergarten the following year. We will build upon skills learned at home or through other preschool options to help children enter Kindergarten at their very best! The preschool morning for the Kindergarten Readiness group will be more structured than the Preschool Exploration class.

Preschool Together

Th 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This is a parent-child preschool experience for ages 2-3. Children attend with a parent or trusted adult and participate in small and large group activities to build social skills and excitement for learning.

Recommended ages will be based on a child’s age as of September 1, We will work with you to accommodate your child’s needs and schedule as necessary.
